Default Just adopted a dog
The lady at the shelter said it was a Lab/Staffordshire mix. Idk what he is to be honest, can someone please give me some input?
They also say he's 5 months old.

Pit bull X lab in my opinion without a ped you will never know. This little dog is going to be hyper as heck I can tell you that much. Cute little pup

It's hard to day since he's still a pup, but I can definitely see something bully about those goofy puppy ears and his face.

Welcome, congrats on the dog. I recommend reading all the stickies in the General, Health and Nutrition and Training parts of the forum. Those will get you to a good start.

His tail also curls up, which i know isn't a characteristic of a APBT.

My friends used to foster what we all guessed to be a pit bull/lab mix. He was insanely hyper. And his tail curled up a bit.

He's also thrown up twice since I adopted him two days ago. The foster mom didn't mention he was throwing up... any idea why that could be? I've been with him for the past two days he's been chewing a bully stick and a kong chew bone. I use blue buffalo dog food. Any idea thanks!

Grats on the dog. I see bully in the face for sure. Cute lil bugger. Make sure to take the stickies to heart as the are there for a reason.

As for the throwing up, I would say it could be the stress of going to a new home, the change in diet, parasites or even he ate something he shouldn't have. Take him to a vet as soon as you can and find out whats going on in there.

I wouldn't say he has SBT in him.. some kind of bully mix though. He's a handsome boy! Just enjoy him.

As for throwing up, I would take him to the vet to get checked out.

Yeah he also has alittle gag noise he makes not really a cough just sounds like his stomach is uneasy its weird. I guess it's vet time lol. Just alittle weird that the foster mom didn't inform me of this.

If you have her or the rescue's number you can ask if she knew. It's probably just stress like Jean said but you won't know until you take him to the vet. How long have you had him? If they had him on a different food, it does take awhile for them to get used to a new food.

We've had Dylan for two months and he's thrown up a good 6 or 7 times. Three vet visits later, all that was determined was that he had worms (giardia, whipworm and roundworm).

We've treated him for it but some days he still throws up. It could be a combination of stress/excitement/worms/rich food/ or just a plain tummy ache.

This is the second day i've had him lol. I paid 350$ in adoption fees the least they could've done is had him up to date with medical check-ups.
