She's 12 weeks old, blue brindle apbt, fully registered and papered.
she seems really big though! and her dad was 80-90 and her mom 60-70, which seems big for an apbt but here name is Kona, which I like and want to keep because apparently she responds to her name so far. She's house trained and crate trained and apparently does well with kids, cats and dogs. Which is good because there's a cat in my household. and I'm taking my 5 year old sister with me to go meet Kona to see how they get along. I know my sister is going to love her, but I want to see how Kona does with my sister. heres some pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I just got back from visiting and meeting her.
and let me say, I am in love. The pictures made her look bigger than she is..her actual date of birth is 5/21/1O So she's a little under 5 months old, not 12 weeks. As I was pulling up, I saw Kona and her owner standing and I was amazed at how tame she seemed to be already. I got out of the car and walked up to her, and Kona was very mellow and shy, I might add as well. It took her a little bit to warm up to me and the family that I brought but as I was walking away, she was following me and sitting at my legs. oh my god it was so hard to leave. i plan on picking her up this weekend. my mom and sisters love her. and she seems to do really well with my 5 year old sister. She is UKC registered as an American Pit Bull Terrier, she has razor edge blood lines and is a 7th generation pit. My only concern is that she comes from blue x blue. (Black/blue father, and a White/blue mother) which I've read might stem skin issues. However... She's absolutely beautiful and I really hope everything falls in place so I can be her new owner. Heres a couple pictures I snapped. ![]() ![]() |

When I say shy and warm up, I mean we were in the front of a Petco in the middle of a city with cars driving by and plenty people and other dogs walking by and construction pounding right next door.
She was very calm, but I assume nervous meeting 6 new people with so much going on around her. However, she didn't show any signs that would seem to cause an issue with her socialization. |

Well I went into it, thinking she was 12 weeks old and I expected a puppy that couldn't sit still and that would just be going crazy with energy.
But it turned out she was a little bit older than I expected and obviously more has been taught to her. Lot of skeptics here, eh? ;p maybe i should just clarify better when i post. |

well if you get/got her I would def register her with the right registry ABKC. she is cute btw. She is really cute though; I actually like Am. Bullies when they don't look like giant hippos and when they're registered as the correct breed ![]() As for the shy comment, I would go meet her one more time in a less hectic spot. If she still seems shy or stand offish, I would pass. "Pit Bulls" in general are supposed to be "never met a stranger" type dogs with people, so if I was looking to adopt one, especially with a family, I would never go for a shy dog. And for the record, when my dogs were 5 months old they could go anywhere and greet everyone like they had lived with them their entire life. |
