Hair on neck
Can anyone tell me how to help the dogs neck hair (on their throat where the collar sits).. its rubbed to the skin (not raw, just no hair) and it looks sooo dirty.. We've gotten several diff kinds of collars to try and see if its that.. I can not let them go without collars on, but it looks sooo bad! (the collars are not too tight.. I can get 3-4 fingers in it).. Any suggestions??

Destiny has worn a collar maybe 5 times in her life and she will be 2 this year, she has no hair on her neck and her collars have always been so lose that if she really tried hard she could get it off, we never figured out why it did that, but I am partially maybe even fully blaming it on the fact that she has a serious nervousness disorder when it comes to food, so I think it may be stressed. Good luck, and try Epi Pet to get the hair to grow back it works wonders http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

it takes a long time for it to grow back.

I can deal with a long time - just not never!

CLASSIC SULFADINE - Great for healing lick sores, kennel rubs, fly bites on ears and tail. Also works very well to grow hair back in troubling areas, such as mange spots and thin hair areas about the muzzel and ears and wound management.

The collar being a little tighter will most likely reduce the rubbing.Too loose and it slides around pulling the hair out.2 fingers flat under the collar is plenty loose.
You can also try fleece lined or padded collars. |
