Brian and I plan on going canoeing a few times this summer and we want to take Mater along. This is who we go through for canoeing: Canoe Rentals Whitewater I have called them and Mater is allowed to go with us. Now, I want to get him a life vest. The nice ones are quite expensive and then there are the cheap ones that are... well, cheap. I would like to find a decent life vest without paying an arm and a leg. Now I did find a deal on Ebay for an Outward Hound life vest, the starting bid is $9.95 and shipping is $7.95. For those of you that use life vests on your dogs can you give some opinions/suggestions?

I probably wouldn't settle for anything other than ruffwear... trust me, I've spent a L-O-T of time swimming dogs.

Yes, but where can I find a good deal on Ruff Wear? They are very expensive and I don't really plan on using the life vest a lot.

Ebay, craigslist...or find a sweet river to take your Mater to more often and make the purchase worthwhile!
