Lol, I don't know. My friends had one when we were kids and their akita/husky would always go in, but then his hair would get all stuck to you.
I think it'd be okay depending on the model and chemicals you are using.

Some are ok, but my main concern is the fact that they normally only have ladders to go in and out, so there is a major safety hazard, as with any pool. The ones with soft sides could be popped by dog nails, I've seen this disaster happen once before.
As long as all swimming is supervised and the pool is safely off-limits to the dogs except when you bring them in, you should be fine, if you don't mind doggie fur!
Keep a close eye out on the chlorine and ph levels, these can irritate dog's skin and cause major digestive upset if not carefully maintained.

yea you might ahve to build something for them to get in and out, one inside the water the other outside, or at least one outside so you are not picking the dog up over the entire pool edge to the ground

Most of the ones I have seen do have steps inside and out so as long as you teach your dogs individually how to get in AND back out (and where) you should be ok.

We have an above ground pool with a pool deck and our dogs won't get in it! They love water at the beach, but want nothing to do with the pool. I was concerned about the liner, but we have a really nice set of steps instead of a ladder, so they could get out if they wanted to. I'd just invest in the thickest liner available even though it will cost more.

I have a friend who has two Jack Russells and she sends me the funniest videos of those two knuckleheads in and out in and out!
