OK this is crazy. My son came by today and was laughing at Matilda because of her underbite. (She also has wrinkles on top of her head) I told him all APBT have underbites. He told me I was crazy. Was I wrong and was he right |

Under or overshot mouths are a terrible thing to creep into the breed. Here the judges always look for a nice scissor bite as called for in the breed standard. If your dog doesn't have it, it will lose. The only hope would be if the other dogs in the ring aren't the correct breed. Having owned dogs with correct mouths and other breeds with undershot mouths, I sincerely hope no genes for this type of mouth ever make it to our population of dogs.
