Default They called the police - 'pitbull fight'
Yep, the police were called in to handle a vicious pitbull fight.

My brother was in Richmond over the weekend, he and some friends took their dogs out. Bulldogs started playing and the police were called. YET, there was a man walking around with what looked like a full-blooded wolf, and nobody made any comment except "Cool!" and brought their dogs up in it's face.

Yep, two PUPPIES, viciously mauling each other.

They actually think it was the person in the background who called.

I've gotten the cops called once for a "dog fight". MJ was playing on the springpole one evening, and was so vocal about it my neighbor actually thought there were 2 dogs fighting!
ACOs came out to investigate the "dog fighting equipment" I supposively have, and after a full inspection of my house, told me that the springpole can't legally be called cruel, but it's "wrong" to use. I'm sorry, I didn't know getting the proper exercise for my dog was wrong.

I think the police showed up and told them off after finding out they were playing, and not to let their "Potentially dangerous" dogs harass people... Lordy.

Lol! I plan on building a spring pole for my dog once I move. I wonder what my neighbors will be like... I hope they give my dog (soon to be dogs) a chance!

That annoys me..... If people don't want to be around dogs playing, just walk away, or ask the owners kindly to please take their dogs somewhere else. No need to call the cops. That's like when there's a baby screaming in a restaurant- I don't call the cops with a noise complaint, I just leave (I've actually walked out of restaurants because of screaming babies, it is literally the only thing I can't handle).

That's funny because just yesterday the same thing happened to us. I had Drake on a leash and our neighbor has a APBT, she was off leash in their yard and they were running and romping and playing and 5 minutes later a cop rolls through our cul-de-sac. the cops NEVER run through our circle. He looks at our dogs, who happened to be taking a breather for a moment and then left. Me and our neighbor just looked at each other and shook our heads LOL

I have done that too, except my husband always made me go back and get them. Sorry couldn't resist. I needed to interject a bit of humor waiting for Bostonitis to get back to us with news.

Because some people just can't keep there dang noses outta other people's business. They aren't happy unless they are bitching and whining about something.

I had Animal control at my house because Marlo and Abby got playing in the garage I had just sprayed the yard with weed and feed and needed to let it dry and marlo is very vocal and I guess being in the garage made it really echo so he stopped by to check it out. he was cool about it and even gave them some Love before he left so it was no big deal. I am sure the people that used to live across from me called they hated Abby but they no longer live there lost the house

It makes sense to not let these dogs "play" in public. When dogs play, they practice their trade, so they playfight. How is a casual observer to know the difference between a play fight and a real fight? Keep them separated and avoid drawing attention. Its good the people were on top of things and willing to do something about what they thought was wrong. So many people turn a blind eye these days.

My dogs play in public.. My neighbors all laugh. The first time it alarmed my neighbor right next door, but I was out in back and I was laughing so hard he realized it was only play. Again.. people are stupid.

My Great Dane and APBT are VERY vocal.. They wont even have their mouths on each other and Talli (the Great Dane) is making all sorts of noises. I call it her whale talk. I've had neighbors snoop but never call the cops.

if people minded their own business they would be too busy to pay attention to what my dogs are doing.

I don't know, two puppies, 5 and 8 months, romping around is very normal at this park. It was simply because they were bulldogs.
