Default animal communication
Okay, I've been creepy-crawling some of the old forums that I used to read. One in particular, which shall remain nameless, and which quite a few of you here are members, has a thread going on right now about "animal communication".
I'll tell you now that I do not believe in majic, voodoo, miracles, psychic phenom, etc.. So you can guess that I don't believe in this stuff either.

In this thread a member was looking at pictures of animals both dead and alive and relating the answers to questions that the owners or past owners had for them. The livings animals and their owners I could have cared less what this poster said. What really bothered me was that questions were being answered for people from their dead animals. I felt really bad for these people because I have lost dogs to death and disease that meant more to me than some family members. So hearing them relive the pain and loss brings back my own.
I didn't comment in the thread because I would have nothing constructive to say about the whole thing; and infact I don't particularly care for the OP due to the fact that they can't take care of their own dog, yet can communicate with others merely through photographs.
I my sound heartless. Thats ok with me. Let me know what you think about "animal communication". Real or fake in your opinion?

I think if you have faith in something, it is real. IMO, there is no "fake' or 'real' answer.

I think communicating with the dead is pure bullshit, human or otherwise...
and yep there is a forum that I used to participate on quite regularly that has a couple of members who communicate with both living and dead dogs, or so they say...
I was polite and did not get into their threads.... i do not consider losing it and calling someone a fool, a mature and necessary thing to do...
after I got to know who did that sort of thing, when I would see their posts, I would give a small chuckle and pass over the thread and read other things...

As much as I would love to spend the day with my sister and best friend... I know that will never happen, and I really don't think anyone could communicate with them from the grave. I might be curious to see what they had to say, but only curious to see if they hit anything on the head without my having to tell them anything. I guess I'm too much of a skeptic, but if someone else wants to do it, it's none of my business. As long as it's not costing me money or time, I won't worry about what someone else does with their spare time. A lot of people would say I'm wrong to spend my time on a forum talking to people I will never meet, but, that's my business. Just as what they do is theirs.

I don't regaurd 'psychic' communication with animals,as animal communication.I think we can talk to animals and get an 'answer',but not with words. Its funny, most of us ending up having to spell things because a dog will quickly figure out, ''walk'' or ''vet. Most owners can read their pets body signals, and know what each dog's bark means. That is the form of 'animal communication' I believe in.And I'm sure most of us have experianced this.

As a big skeptic I must say that there is one way of animal 'communication' that I believe works and that's only because I witnessed it first hand with 2 of my own (live) dogs. It's not something that I talk about alot because people wont believe me and I understand completely, I wouldnt believe someone telling me my story. The only reason I believe what did happen with my dogs was because she told me stuff that she could NEVER have known without taking any history or knowing them from a hole in the ground. The only reason that I took my dogs was because she previously did the same thing to me. It was not any sort of psycic thing, purely energy medicine. She also fixed numerous health issues between myself, family members, and my dogs which was the whole point in the sessions. I will continue to go to her for issues both physical and behavioral for them.

I clicked on this thinking it was about animal comunication, i.e. "I make you move, and run the food situation around here cuz I'm the boss of this place" said the one animal to the other... But no, it's about pet psychics. I guess there's always somebody ready to part with a buck over their feelings.

But what the heck, I'll attempt to avoid being dismissive: animals can often be much more attuned to their surroundings than humans, this includes nonverbal cues from humans, so I can see how some people who entertain the notion of psychic phenomenon include animals. On a scientific note, it's interesting to see that dogs are used to work with epileptics... sort of a perceptive "canary in the coal mine" for people with a genuine neurological dissorder.

As I've commented elsewhere...I just don't know.

I'm very skeptical...about everything. I'm agnostic. I wish I wasn't I would dearly love the comfort of a belief system. But I am hopeful. And to me...it all sort of goes hand in hand: if one thing I am skeptical about is possible; then it's ALL possible...and who am I to say?

So...that said...I am skeptical, but hopeful and wouldn't entirely rule it out.

Now as applies to pet psychics: does not entirely ruling it out mean every Tom, Dick & harry can do it just cause they want to - No. Does it mean that some few, special people for whatever reason may have a gift - I would like to believe so.

In my own personal experience, I did have a reading from a very well known pet psychic. Keeping in mind I am by nature skeptical (more skeptical than I would like to be) it was very interesting. She knew things that I didn't tell her and that I don't know how she would have known. 2 items were not on public record anywhere. She was also aware of my dog's medical history which my vet swears up and down was not handed out to a random stranger. Do I believe? I would like to...and I will say this...whatever she did (even if it was just homework) she was good and she earned her money. Even if she was a complete fake, for the moment she made me feel better...and she gave me a shred of hope that maybe there is something out there..."after"...other than nothing.
