Default Rescue Ink, last night (10-16)
Did anyone see Rescue Ink last night? While there are some things they do that I disagree with and there was one comment about the breed that (I don't remember word for word) I didn't care for. Their view of the people and their straight forward comments about the breed was refreshing compared to what is normally said on national TV. It seems even when people are trying to be positive they either screw it up or are edited in a bad way. Anyway, last nights show seemed to be a kind of special on the breed and I think they did them well, especially compared to how they are normally portrayed or half ass stood up for on TV. I thought it was wonderful how Rebel was, showing that even after the horrible experience he was still a loving good dog!

I was watching while chatting here. There was a terrible story about someone hanging a dog in a park. They were in Philly, which is near me!

I saw it and thought it was really good. DH watched it also and liked it well enough that he sent them an e-mail about Rosie, being a bait dog and rescued.
They have pics of Rebel (Ribbons) on their website and he looks SOOOO good compared to what he did when they got him.
We're planning on getting their t-shirts to help support them.
If we lived in a neighborhood like the ones they showed, I'd want a couple of those guys as neighbors. They were HUGE!!

Their website is: http://www.rescueink.org/

I saw this show last night for the first time... Loved it, and Rebel's story definitely brought me to tears.

The dogs name is Rebel he was the rescue as a bait dog. Great series and it was nice to see them show how DA isnt related to HA and how he was so responsive to human kindness.

When they first met the dog, he was called Ribbons, after Rescue Ink decided to keep him for their mascot, they renamed him Rebel.

I watched it, I think it is great how they made Rebel there mascot and all that stuff, did not like the "bait dog" comment and the dog hanging was REALLY upsetting but the show was great all in all, people that missed it try hulu in a few days they might have it on there, you can get house on there after like 4 days of its air date I think so maybe this show will be on it.

Does anybody get OnDemand through Cox? If so, they should have a replay....maybe...

All of the stories were highly upsetting. My fiance cried at Rebels story and left the room....

On a side note, I bought a sticker book at Costco yesterday for my niece and it is all kinds of animals, farm, domestic, etc. There is a "pit bull" in it. I was very happily surprised! I have had a huge response to the pit bull awareness day coming up here, a lot of places have let me post the flyer. Pets shops, restaurants, etc.

Hmmmmmmm........ I wonder how this will play out for the bigger picture with the breed. Are they discussing responsible dog handling? I wonder if this will just cause a bunch of people who shouldn't own the breed to run right out and get one. Could totally back fire on us. Meh... I'm a sceptic.
