... advice for some safety precautions when driving an 8 weeks old puppy for 4 hours ride.

I've read that this is the fear period and some people say do not ship puppies at this time. Well, my puppy is gonna be 8 weeks 4 days when I need to pick him up from a breeder who is 4 hours away from home. Any tips?
