This town is so conservative and although I have lived her all my life, I didn't realize it until I moved into the city limits. When we walk Daisy we get stared at like we look all weird and the cops always want to spotlight us when walking on the sidewalk, lol...I can imagine what kind of reaction a spring pole would get

lol I understand, all the cops in my neighborhood know who we are and what a big advocate for these dogs and responsible dog ownership I am, so they leave me alone and noone has ever said anything to me about them being the breed they are. But I live in the ghetto here in Austin, but I do get looks when they see a skinny white chick walking 3 large pit bulls down the sidewalk, talk about people clearing a path, lol

Same here, my path is always clear. But I'm in a decent upscale neighborhood. I always get looks, look at that 26 yr old drug dealer, with the expensive car & toys, with tats & gauges, with his pants sagging walking his 2 mean looking pits. I laugh every time, who would of knew I work a Government job with great pay and moved to this neighborhood so my 2 kids would have a great enviorment to grow up in (Profiling assholes)

~I bet they'd really freak out if they knew I have my CHL and carry a gun on me 24/7~

hahaha Casper, even though I do live in the hood, people stop to look, it wouldn't matter if I was living in the most upscale neighborhood ehre I would still get looked at. And in all honesty I have never been profiled so hard for owning an APBT than I have til I moved to Austin.

I hate stupid people, lol

hahaha yes I do, cause of my name alone I know about racial profiling, and I don't fly that often but that would be me also. lol. On my name alone because it is of Vietnamese origin, no I am not, lol, before I turned 18 I went by my first and middle name, is what my family and really close friends still call me and people who met me ALWAYS thought I was gonna be some 5 foot Asian girl and when I shortened it to just my first name, now they think I'm a guy, lol, so it's always anice surprise when they hear or see me.

And when I have my dogs, they lookat me like I am not a real pit bull owner, like I don't fit th eprofile and then I get really mad and want to know what they think a pit bull owner should look like? They usually shut up cause they have seen how furious this makes me, lol.

My girlfriend and I get the stares everytime we go for a walk. It doesn't help she's 5ft 95lbs but it's getting very old lol. A couple weeks ago we were walking our pup and about 4 houses in front of us I saw a guy talking to a lady that was in her garden, he had one little dog on a leash, carrying the other dog and also carrying the large pooper scooper's. He saw us coming and walked about 1 house closer as we were getting closer I put my pup on the opposite side of me and even walked almost in the rode as he just was staring and didn't look to happy. He walked up this person's driveway as we were passing and says 'Is that a pitbull?' I usually reply 'No' but I didn't think about it and said yes. He stomped his foot, sighed and rolled his eyes like a little girl and walked even further into this person's driveway which was atleast 50ft+ away from us as he is squeezing his dogs for protection. After we passed he stayed in that driveway untill we were probably 2 houses down, continued his walk but yet kept looking back. My pup was maybe 5mths and 30ish pounds. How scary!

there are tons of Pit Bull sin my neighborhood and the ONLY other people who are responsible like myself is the black couple that lives behind me. There is also another black guy that lives in the apt. complex up the street that walks his red male pit everyday. The couple behind us and I have talked, nice people and their pup is adorable, they rescued him fromthe shelter here intown and he told me the same thing.

he said that because he is black that people automatically think he is supposed to have a pit bull, he said he got one cause his girlfriend wanted one and she wanted a blue, so that's what they got, they walk him twice a day and I see them out inthe back yard going thru his OB stuff. They asked me how to make him a springpole, lol

I just can't stand the fact that people think this breed is supposed to "belong" to o ne certain type or race of people. That's what upsets me and I always love the shocked looks on people faces when I tell them I have 3 80lbs pit bulls at home and that I am a nanny, omg you'd think I was letting my dogs chew on their kids, lmaoooo
