So far, Sativa has learned sit, down, go, stop, eat, and fetch. But I have thought her some other commands that I think is unusual, such as: toilet, kiss, and shut up!
I love it. Every two hours or so, I would say toilet, and she would actually go outside in the backyard, smell the grass, and pee and poop, in a short time after the command. I also tell her to kiss, and she would doggie lick my face. And when she barks unintentionally, I would yell "shut up", and she would do that too. Lolz. Any weird commands that you guys teach to your dogs. |

Odie knows sit, down, stay, paw, HUG,Kisses,DON'T TOUCH! cuddle to settle down. Watch the baby! The funny one is he's so proficient at DON'T Touch my husband wonders why if he tries to give Odie a treat Odie looks at him like am I allowed to have that. Even tempting treats he won't touch unless I tell him it's ok you can have it.

lol diesel knows kiss, he usually just jumps up and pops his mouth on our face, no tongue just the mouth, i guess hes trying to "kiss" like we would kiss him..its too cute
he also knows, cookie (milk bones) he heres this and he runs to our lazy suzane cabinet and sits. then there is "potty", the obvious bye bye, again obvious "wheres daddy?" he will jump up and stare out the window in suspense lol "get em'' will put him on allert, he will stand up wherever he is and listen really hard for whatever it is, and look out the window or door. "them your poops?" if he has an accident, he knows this cause when we say it (or if we say "what did you do!" he will jump on the couch and burrow his nose in the corner lol |

with mine she knew over 100 diff cues and most had hand signals with them (don't you know I fried my brain trying to come up with the diff ones..
![]() I named as many things as possible so she would know everything in our world, even water so she would go get water when I thought her fetch game was making her too thirsty and I gave her a break by telling her to go get water, she'd go drink and return She learned "baby Puppy" is get on the floor and crawl towards what I was telling her was a baby puppy, even toddlers and human babies, so she was less threatening Inside voice is on youtube she would jump up and bark for Talk but inside voice was jump up and only huff would come out geesh it's hard to figure what you would think is weird I used "curtsy" instead of bow "whack it" is for using her paw to smack at something I told her to hit "Mark your spot" was for her to come forward and stop on a marked area on the floor so she could stay in frame for camera her bathroom break was Potty (pee) and potty 2(poo) MMMMMM can't think of anything else or what you would think is "weird" of course none of the above may be weird for you?? |

Oh man.. I don't even know all the 'commands' Ruger knows these days. We are together 24/7, so he picks up on basically everything I say.
Most of his commands are said in full questions... like, "Ruger, can you shut the door please?" or, "Ruger, can you grab my phone please?" I don't know if he has any 'weird' commands... he knows all the basics in two languages and with hand signals (sit, down, stay, come, back up, stand), he knows cute ones like wave and sit pretty, useful ones like "get it" (using his paw, for light switches etc.) and "grab it" (for picking something up). If he grabs something, he knows several people by name so I can tell him to take it to them, and I can also point at someone and tell him to take the object to them. He will also instantly pee on command, even if it's just a drop lol And he knows the situational commands like... "Squirrel!" or "Where's the squirrel?" and "Get the kitty!" (he looooves cats, doesn't want to hurt them!), anything involving a ball ("Let's go fetch!", etc.)... OH, and my favourite "Are we going to see Red Bull?" (whiplashapbt's dog) and he'll start whining and get all excited LMAO So nope.. nothing really weird LOL |

Paige knows "bang bang!" she'll instantly drop and flop on her back. She's learned she has to lie down when it comes to food time. But other than the basic commands, she doesn't have any new ones yet. She's pretty good at the food on both her paws thing, with "leave it." She's learning to retrieve anything I drop on the floor for her.
Java knows a variety. I've been teaching her to "pray," where she'll be in a sitting position and put her paws on the chair in front of her and look down at the floor between her front legs. She knows all the basic commands. She also knows "do you have to go outside?" she'll attack the door/ring the bell. "Go around" she'll turn in a circle clockwise, "other way" turn in a circle counter-clockwise. "Paws", she'll stand up and hold herself there forever. Our other favorite one is making her sit and wait, while we toss her tennis ball. That one pleases us the most because she's absolutely ball crazy. One time, we took her to the tennis courts and she wouldn't stop watching the people playing on the other side of the fence with their tennis ball. ![]() |
