hi im wayne i have just taken on a abadoned pitbull in spain called thor, he is soppy and wouldnt hurt a fly but here in spain i have to get a lience for him but in order to do this i need to undertake a physiological test and a physical test to prove i can handle him then i can regester him at the town hall then i need to regester him with the dangrous dogs act then he needs 3rd party cover for a potentialy dangrous dogs
(hes a dog not a car lol) and must always wear a muzzle when in public, then i get his lience its stupid i have to do this yet i see mastifs and english bull terriers walking down the road and they dont need all this its not fair that pits have this bad rep and we the people who want them as a pet not a statues have to pay the price. if you know anyone or are some one who lives in spain and has allready done this plz leave me a message and help me as i know what ive got to do but dont know how any help will be aprecheated thank you wayne and thor(my dog) |

i believe spain have the same dangerous dog law england brought in back in 91.the english one has been slightly revised since then but spain i am told have the same one we had back then with a few extras
![]() apparently the dog has to undergo a temperament test by " experts " the dog will also be required to be spayed or neutered.a certificate will be given which you will need to carry with you whenever the dog is in a public place. |

you must have no criminal record.then you have to go to a centro psicotecnico same as where you would get eye test for drivers licence and get a licence for the dog it is similar to a firearms license.you also need insurance to cover up to 100,000 euros in damages. you must register it with town hall and it must be muzzled at all times while in public but it does not have to be sterilised or castrated.
