Default I have no comment on my luck-
-because complaining doesnt make it easier-

Yesterday my husband calls from work after I had already left and gone home. Seems the people across the street who have several dogs they let roam freely, had another puppy hit by a car. If yall remember about 4 months ago I was on here crying because the momma got hit and they wouldnt do anything to help her.

Anyways, this is one of her pups, about 4 or 5 months old now, Great Pyramese puppy. She was hit so bad, hubby heard it and ran out there, only to have to track her thru the woods as she ran squalling. The car stopped but no one was home at these peoples house.

he followed the dog to the elementary school, where it took up on the top step and clearly would not let anyone near her. Her leg was torn off.

He called the cops while I called every vet from here to kingdom come-the cops suggested clubbing the dog to death, no vet even had an emergency number after hours.
AC said he would come the next day if he was still there.

This morning my husband goes over to the peoples house. I can hear him hollaring. The dog had made her way home last night and crawled in the basement. I am surprised she is not dead.

This is the first I get to see her. I sat and stroked her head and face and told her it was gonna be alright.I wish she was taken last night-

We threatened her she had 1 hour to have the dog to a vet or I was pressing animal cruelty charges. She did, although I had to help her load the dog.
She must have been in shock. Wasnt even bleeding anymore-just clear fluids coming out her leg.

I creid so hard. She made a comment she owed the dog to try and save her life. I jumped in NO WAY_So she can come home and get hit again, like all her other dogs???

This place sucks. People really suck. I cant stand it anymore.

That is one of the saddest things that can happen. People never cease to shock me with their heartlessness. She looked like such a sweet dog.

Right at the knee the leg is broke OFF. Hanging by skin only. Her heart was slow, her breathing labored, she didnt bite but cried a bit when moving her, I think she was still in shock.

Im not very religious, but I prayed she would go to Rainbow Bridge all night, she didnt, maybe thats why Im not so religious, however Im still praying she gets taken. She was also very swollen throughout her torso.

Im wondering if I should insist on taking her if she survives.....I know I cant anymore dogs, but what would YOU do??

Im also fixin to post address of shelter and city members for you guys to back me up on the crappy politics and laws around here. Things have got to change-Or Im leaving.

Yes, and since the dog went home-they will not do anything. No leash laws-nothing.

OMG!!! I'd be contacting somebody about animal cruelty charges! and the cops wanting to club the dog to death??? What, none of them even had a gun to put her out of her misery?? That's messed up! I in no way could ever shoot a dog, but that would be better than clubbing her to death... gawd, people make me sick to be part of the human race!!

I had the rifle loaded and ready to bring, but the cops said we couldnt shoot the dog in city limits. And this was across from the police station. We tried to get the dog into the woods but he wasnt moving.

Im sick. Just sick. Start letters and Ill get address Monday. Im heading to see my grandson in the morning and going home in a few. My head hurts and Im sick-overwhelmed.

These people shouldn't own an animal period......

And I'm seriously shocked at the Police Officer's advice.....

Your town/city whatever needs a serious wake-up call on the Dog codes...and tightning up on going after the offenders.....

Maybe the dog will get lucky and they wont have the money or desire to treat and sign the dog over to the vet clinic.I know how this feels, last summer some drunks across the street from me got a puppy. It was allways running off to visit anyone walking down the street.I even gave thema leash once but they said they wanted it to learn to stay in the yard witout running off.It got hit by a city bus..Some people.

Can you take the Momma dog to the vets? It sounds like she's just pumping out pups...that's not healthy.

Maybe the baby too?

I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
