Default "Rescue" is glorified puppy mill, please read.

I was scoping out some resuces and came across this one....this place HAS to be full of it. A previous thread spoke of the "Andronicu Mastiff" breed/mutt that was "origionated" by one man. This guy has all of his dog for "adoption"
along with all of these not so common, uber expensive dogs such as but not limited to Scottish Deerhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Tosa Inus, Chinese Crested, Whippets, Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Mastiffs, Neo, Newfies, Salukis, and Leonbergers.

Oh and they claim that all of their dogs through (wait for it..) physical and emotional care has DOUBLED the lives of all the dogs. Gee golly, I never knew that treating your investment (oh sorry your foster*) with a shred of TLC could make it double its life expectancy.

Oh and their Adoption fee is $490 to $990. Sounds like prices to me. So I ponder, where are they getting six week old litters of Boerboels, Borzois, and Tosa Inus!!!!

Rescuing and Adopting
Beautiful Great Danes, Borzoi, Great Pyrenees, Irish Wolfhounds, Scottish Deerhounds, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands, Greyhounds, English Mastiffs, Neopolitan Mastiffs, Ambull Neopolitan Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, Fila Brasileiro Brazilian Mastiffs, Adronicus Mastiffs, South African Boerboel Mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeaux French Mastiffs, American Mastiffs, Tibetan Mastiffs, Spanish Mastiffs, Tosa Inu, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bloodhounds, Sasquatch, Maremma Sheepdogs, Saluki, Leonbergers, Akbash, Whippets, Silken Windhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Peruvian Inca Orchids, Chinese Cresteds, Shelties, American Eskimos, Xoloitzcuintle, Unique Combinations and Other Loving Lap Dogs!
Their outstanding website that aims to tug at the heartstrings of saps who don't know anybetter is
http://www.gentlegiantsrescue.com

This is pathetic!

It does appear very suspect!!! I wonder if anyone knows anything firsthand about them.

I have heard nothing but bad things about them. In addition to the selling of dogs, it seems they have enough of their own "oops" litters to keep the funds rolling in as well.

On every single message board I've been on, there has been some horrific statements made about them, many with even more horrific facts to back them up.

I would'nt give them someone else's money much less my own.

There was a thread posted about them sometime last year. After doing some looking around, and actually finding a site dedicated to the angry and misinformed people who adopted screwed up dogs from them, my conclusion is they are business people...not a rescue. They guilt people into giving up their dogs so they can sell them for profit, lie about medical records, temperament issues, and sell them to who ever will cough up the dough first.

Looking at their Ambully Mastiff(WTF?) she looks like she's just had a litter . Poor things. We have a local rescue here with adoption prices around $400 and I think it's ridiculous....I hate that we have to work with them.

Interesting, if you scroll about three quarters of the way down the page there's a paragraph where they state how they work with "reputable" breeders across the country to adopt out dogs that haven't sold or aren't going to be shown and find them loving homes.

So basically they scour the country for backyard breeders who can't sell all their dogs, take the dogs off their hands and resell them, am I getting that right?

What reputable breeder do any of you know that would dump their puppies with a rescue? Wouldn't they just keep a dog if they couldn't sell it?

check this (copy/paste from the site)

"Note: If you use an aggressive spam blocker program, or if your email program is configured to only accept incoming mail from your "white" list, we may not be able to get back in touch with you."

this tells you, they want to spam the shit out of you, I suppose...

Reputable breeders wouldn't place their pups with someone they didn't know (with Pits anyway), but then the vast majority of "breeders" (of all breeds) are not reputable. Most will sell to anyone, anywhere with no questions asked.

That site is hilarious!

Don't they know that all the wordiness just makes it SO suspect! NOTHING is to be believed there -- they try way too hard to look legit! LOL!
