lol, when unsavory people ask me about Tiger, I tell them he is a staffordshire terrier mix, which techically true, since he has AmStaff in his 5th or 6th generation.

The other suggestion is by chippping. It may not keep your dog friom getting stolen, but many vets and shelters are checking for a chip everytime a dog is brought in. In the case your dog is stolen you can call the chipping co and list it as a stolen dog...i also never leave my dogs unsupervised, although it would be stupid for a person to come & try to steal a pit bull and it's pack...Good luck with the new puppy!
