07-14-2012 16:31 BJT | CCTV The much anticipated London Olympic Games is approaching, and people from all walks of life are celebrating it in their own ways. Musicians are collaborating and crossing the boundary of genres. Notable names include pianist Lang Lang and singer Jacky Cheung. And more acts will take part in a huge concert on CCTV ahead of the Olympic opening ceremony night. Classical pianist Lang Lang penned an upbeat melody for his partner on lead vocals, Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung. The duo is backed by 2-hundred-million people from around the world, who recorded their cheers and sent them to the production team. Four years ago, Lang Lang was one of the stars in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Games. Although he won’t be performing in London, he’ll be part of a very international line-up in CCTV’s huge concert. Local rock-n-roller Wang Feng will perform his most inspiring hits, while South Korean singer Jang Woo-Hyuk is set to cover several classics. Jang is also planning to surprise his fans with some new dance moves. Chinese duo "Phoenix Legend" has accepted the challenge of performing their most well-known tracks in both Chinese and English. The concert will be broadcast on the night of July 27th, exactly eight hours ahead of the opening ceremony of London Olympics. |
