Default Arrington seriously injured in motorcycle accident
Smart move when no team has signed you yet.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2908160

Free-agent linebacker LaVar Arrington was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in the Washington, D.C., area, the player's agent told ESPN.com on Monday.
Carl Poston said it was his understanding that Arrington suffered a broken bone in his arm, three broken bones in his leg, cuts and bruises. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. He is recovering at Prince George's Hospital Center. Arrington, a former Pro Bowl linebacker for the Washington Redskins, is not currently under contract to any team. The 28-year-old Arrington is still rehabilitating an Achilles tendon tear that cut short his 2006 season with the New York Giants.

Makes his resale value go down. Hope he is ok though.

Doesn't sound life-threatening, but a broken arm and three broken bones in your leg doesn't sound like a quick recovery -- at least to football shape.

I thought I heard that he was likely going to have to sit out this season anyway.

Not that it's less stupid.....

I think the number is closer to infinity. We all know that youth never learns from others mistakes.

Ben R's motorcycle accident: Monday, June 12, 2006
Lavar Arrington's accident: Monday June 18, 2007

It's almost as if Lavar was celebrating Ben's 1 year anniversary of stupidity. At least Lavar wore a helmet, I'll give him credit for that.
