Some people just aint right. It is what it is and the sooner you accept that there's nothing can be done about it,the sooner your brain will stop hurting.

If that is bad than so am I. My dog actually does costume contests. (Mainly because that is the only way we can compete in anything)

Now you have to shell out thousands for his therapy, pet psychic, and some toys to make it up to him.

And I will admit to talking to my dogs. I will also admit that Owen and Renee talk back with very communicative grumbles, roo-rooing, moans and whimper-whines.

Poor Rita. I call her "my retarded one" so much that if I holler "Retarded!", she comes running. Probably because her feelings are so hurt and all...

I only do that to him because I have a friend who is convinced I am a fur mommy, because I feed him more than kibble and make sure he has everything to make him a healthy dog, so I dress him up and show her just to fuel her thinking I am a fur mommy, even though most fur mommies cant stand me LOL

Lol I think he was perfectly happy with eating a big roast tonight, he actually looks forward to putting this shirt I made for him on, he loves how he can run around on the balcony and lay on the floor without getting a chill lol

But God forbid my friend see's, because he is a fur baby and there is no need for a shirt on him... even though I dont use my heater and leave my doors and windows open all night and he gets so cold he shakes lol
I talk to Bear, I sing songs involving him and what he is doing all day, I think talking to your animal builds a bond somewhat and helps him understand you moods or requests easier.. I am currently teaching him how to say "Momma" because I was bored and wanted to further irritate my friend when he says it lol

Sometimes (usually around meal time when she's excited and focused) I can get Sugar to say, "I LOVE YOU".
I'm not sure why it sounds like she's sayin it in sing song doggie baby talk though ... because I sure as hell don't use sing song baby talk !!!
No way folks ... ya didn't hear it here !!!

There's nothing wrong with dressing a dog up like Pooks has lol, however the point lies with that it's a DOG dressed up and not a human child. I baby talk like crazy to my girl, because she makes me happy, it makes ME happy to act stupid with my DOG, and I treat her like a DOG! She gets muddy, she eats dog food, she wears dog sweaters when needed and she gets dog training, baby talk has nothing to do with it, a stroller- that's fucking nuts.

Default Some People!!! (Rant)
Okay so I am as much of a dog person as the next, but some people take it to the extreme. There comes a point where enough is enough. I came across a lady last night that was a "fur mommy" to the extreme. Seriously this little dog is not a baby its a dog. It doesn't need to be in a baby carrier attached to your body. It doesn't need baby talked. It doesn't need a gourmet cookie for the ride home.

The dog wants to be treated like a dog. The good Lord gave that dog 4 legs so it can walk. A dog is happiest when it is treated like a dog, not a baby. They are going to have a long road with this dog if they keep babying it like this.

All a dog needs to be a well adjusted dog is love, exercise, training, and to be cared for. Nothing is wrong with a little spoiling (my dog is spoiled), but some people take it too far and it really gets under my skin.

Yeah, I get sort of annoyed bu it, too. Then I become amused when I think of all the craziness those fur mommies will have to deal with.

Some folks pets are cheaper than their therapist and I doubt the dog was miserable

What really got me was when my daughter kept pointing to it and calling it a kitty and I told her no it was a Chihuahua (the dog was a long haired Chi) and the woman turns around and says real snippy "Actually its a pomeranian" (Well if that dog was a pom than my name is bill gates) And then turns around and buys the dog two cookies because I hurt its feelings by calling it a Chi.

I'm not judging or anything. It just was the strangest situation I've ever encountered

True pets are cheaper than a therapist but the dog was already acting out in a negative way and I hate seeing that with small dogs. Small dogs are great but so many seem to be so ill behaved. Gives small dogs a bad rap, that's all. I used to own nothing but little dogs, and I know even little dogs are happiest being dogs

OOoooo ... well, not only acting out ... but if she carries the dog most ALL the time ... it could develop some mobility issues too from lack of normal growth stimulation and exercise as well as maybe muscle atrophy Couldn't it ?? It's the dogs that always suffer ... Bill

You should've been to the pet expo I was at last weekend. We worked the AKC agility trial in the morning and out mini poodle did dock diving there. In between heats we'd people watch. Dogs in strollers, dogs in breast pouches, hairless cats in strollers.... THEY'RE FREAKING DOGS PUT THEM ON THE GROUND. They have legs, they can walk. I promise. Except for the cat. Hairless cat in a stroller; who knew I'd see that.

Then there were the dogs that should NOT have been there, like the very DA mastiff and the terrified tiny chihuahua.

These were the craziest pet people I've ever seen. I think I'll stick to the sport world.

I have seen people who treat their dogs like that who don't have children, it's kind of pathetic and sad.
