Are they trying to look like Opera?

No idea, but I heard that the new IE9 beta is using the same javascript engine as Opera

I don't tend to use betas, in case they mess up my computer

If you hide the menu bar in beta it shows an orange button similar to the button in the left hand corner of Opera. I like Opera but it doesn't suit all my needs. Like no being able to see the WYSWIG editor on this forum in Opera pisses me off.

I'll be sticking to RockMelt

Dude... it's Chrome with built-in Social Networking feeds... it's built off of Chromium, and is nothing short of pure awesome.

Well, I just signed in for an invitation so i'll check it out for myself.

you may scoff, but we've got a PC in the office with every version of IE on it right back to version 3.5 ...

why in the hell for?

Not everyone has upgraded =/ and for web design purposes

but 3.5? that must be like what over 10 years old?

It's entirely up to them, but web design are not usually developed for such a low version of web browsers

Yeah it's for testing purposes. We normally only support back to IE6 (because it still has a shockingly large market share) but it's always fun to look back with the really old browsers and see what the pages look like...

Yeah it is. They just all come in a bundle together.

I'm not sure why but the 16 pt. font the address bar uses in RockMelt and Google Chrome bugs me...
