So I'm fascinated by the aquarium screen saver that came with my media center installation. With my history of plants and the fish i had dying, I got to thinking... I wonder if theres a way you can mod one of them electronic picture frames to run a screen saver conintuously.

Picture frames display single images not videos, you could use a screen capture to capture the screensaver load it into something like after effects then cut it into single frames and export them all as jpegs

yeah what he said...just load a thumbdrive full and let it cycle continuously...you'll get th same affect...like a gif file if you can get the time between frames to fast enough.

Just get an old crappy computer and an old crappy monitor (easier than it sounds) and just set it up in a corner.

You can... jsut just gotta find your way into the ack end of them :P
If you find one that can support flash payer youre golden and the possibilities are ENDLESS lol

If you can get into the back end of them youll find usually stuimple thigns like a small database, or even just a batch script that cycles the cpitures over and over.
'
that sounds like it would be a killer weekend project.
