I don't have that problem persay. I just don't enjoy the fact that triton isn't backwards compatible as far as file sharing is concerned with the previous types.

I can't transfer a file with someone unless they have triton.

That thing has been fucking up on me ever since it was changed to its Triton version or whatever the hell it is. I swear, AIM could not be any more bloated than it already was. Now it's a big hunk of ads and useless shit no one needs. It's a CHATTING program, not a friggin' operating system for God's sakes.

There's a neat little free program out that supports all the messengers in one. It's called GAIM (which is obviously a parody name of AIM), but the program is minimized to the simplicty of solely being a chatting service as AIM originally should have been. So it's like an AIM, YIM, ICQ and whatever all put together.

I prefer Global anyway. It's what we tech-nerds used to use to transfer files before the whole p2p boom. But then again...I only talk to those same guys as before, and I generally don't get others to sign up on it if they're already happy with their other mind-numbingly moronic instant messaging services. =)

i really prefer not to talk on any messangers but i talk to a few people on aim and thats it. so i may go back to trillian and have that instead of the AIM triton on my computer and maybe use my yahoo name on there cause im having problems with the new yahoo and it wont download on my computer. something about missing a .dll file or something like that. oh yeah did i mention....

:fu :fu :fu :fu AIM trition and AOL

sometimes its good to have all eighty billion messengers ... never know if someone is talking to you on one im, and another person in another im, and one of those people are annoying ya for a bit ( still a friend, so you dont ignore ). so you exit out of that other im. close that instant messager. and resume your musings with the second person using a different messenger, should they have an account with that messenger.
