I am even using their beta mail, so much better than the horrible one they have at the moment

Nope, Y!Mail is on the internet, not installed on your laptop

Probably you can see if there is an update, if not re-install Java again

Something was def wrong with the laptop. I put back to factory defaults and it's ine. Firefox even updated the Beta correctly
