Default Laptop troubles
I decided to have some lentil soup for lunch and was enjoying it so much that I spilled it all over my laptop. The buttons that act as mouse buttons aren't working now. Is there a way to fix this?

I've spilled a great deal of water on my blackberry storm in my time having it, and the thing I always do is power it down, remove the battery, and let it dry out overnight or longer.

Since this is stickier than water, it might be good to do all the steps above and wipe it down with distilled water on a soft cloth (just damp) a bit before letting it dry.

time is of the essence with spillages. you need to get the buttons off and left to dry naturally, or under a lamp. Washing away any of the residue soup that might cause shorts in the process.
