I might go switch out the modem before it's out of the return window with Best Buy just because this problem started after I replaced the modem. I am going to give it a few days though to see if changing some of the settings in the modem may have helped it.. |

It won't hurt to swap out modems. You can get bad ones, even right in a row........its not unheard of. They are mass produced so to have a whole batch that are bad is not uncommon. We got a whole shipment of mother boards that were bad.............it happens. |

Well I haven't had a chance to go get the router replaced yet but now it's causing even more problems. When I tried to log in to Bank of America which I do every day I am now getting this:
This Connection is Untrusted You have asked Firefox to connect securely to sitekey.bankofamerica.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified. What Should I Do? If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue. Technical Details I Understand the Risks Any idea what's going on? |

This has nothing to do with your DSL line. Websites use what are called SSL certificates. These certificates are cross checked with known lists of good certificates stored on your computer. For some reason the bank is using a certificate that is unknown to your computer OR you are using an out dated list OR your list is corrupted. You need to confirm with your bank that they haven't made changes to their webpages. But most likely you have a corrupted firefox profile. If you use Internet Explorer or Google Chrome do you get a similar response?
