If I hadn't of run out of activation possibilities, I would of dumped vista day one and gone back to xp

Surely one of your friends has a disk kicking around. You don't need " yours " when any will do.

Can't wait until SP1 comes out, I accidentally installed the RC version, beta in all but name, there was a real speed boost

I have no idea what you are talking about here cuz I haven't heard zip about it. What I do know is that with all the new guts I put in this box and then W7 on top of it this mofo honks. I'm really impressed I gotta tell ya.

I just installed W7 professional 64 bit on my new machine and I'm very impressed with it's speed. I also loaded the XP mode and virtual PC so I can use any of my older programs. That's the reason I went with professional, so I can run multiple environments

I think you are one of the reasons I went with W7. Too bad you didn't mention the benefits of the pro ver. In any event... thanks.

It's easy, there is a release candidate (RC), really a beta version of service pack 1

I'm surprised MS didn't release their first service pack the day after releasing W7.
