From where to buy an Apple iPad

Does anyone have any information about where the iPad will be sold.? Wondering will the iPad be sold at where the iPod was sold (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc..) or will it be locked down to Mac/Apple stores.?
If you have any info and idea, please pass on.
