Camera repair shop?

Daughter dropped her Sony Cyber Shot today and the zoom lens jammed and won't work. Anyone know of a camera shop in Midland that is reliable? Thanks!

Do not know of any in Midland, but Odessa Camera Center would be my first choice.

Odessa Camera Center can help. Nice folks, good service. They've been in business for many years.

Based upon my past experience working in a camera store many years ago, I would expect the camera will need to be returned to the manufacturer for repair. It will be more expensive, but the chances of it being repaired correctly are better that way.

Thanks Elmer. Daughter called Odessa Camera Center and they told her that they would send it off. She contacted Sony and found that the repair would be about $130. I think she has decided to not have it fixed and to buy a new one when she can afford it.
I think we need to try tapping it with a rubber mallet if she is not going to go for the repair...maybe it will unjam. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.png

I figured that was the case. They aren't really designed to be repaired.
