Looks like it's raining cats and dogs at the moment.

The USO site says the weather "calls for clearing" around noon (in an hour) and they hope to dry the courts and start play then. That sounds unlikely to me.

I'd say more like 2 PM, if we are lucky.

There's also a tornado warning and the press center has been evacuated. Fans have been told to seek shelter.

Holy cow!

And here I am unhappy that I got up early to see something that's not on TV, and am flipping back & forth between a replay and one of the worst "Bring It On" sequels.

They just showed the rain has stopped, however.

Yes the warning has been downgraded from a watch in Brooklyn and Queens to a warning for the entire city until 9p. Good times.

There was a time NYC never had to worry about tornadoes. But of course there's no climate change.

That's supposed to happen in my part of the country. Crazy.

1 game completed.

Also, I believe this is the first time since ... RG 2004 that neither Federer nor Nadal reached the semis?

Yep. They have been talking about that since Roger's loss. And If Novak loses today, I really can't recall when was the last final with none of the three in it. I think Roddick-Ferrero.
