Pat O'Brien just said, "Programming update: we have abandoned the idea of bringing racquet-smashers up to the studio to apologize." Apparently, it's so we could see more tennis. Then immediately after they went on to do a story about pins. Federer's has its own red velvet bag with RF etched into it.

Some strange version of 'Here Comes the Sun' playing over the PA just now. I'll believe it when I see it.

Just a fantastic song - rivaled in the ELO catalogue only by "Fire On High"

Weird watching Canadian announcers do the tennis... "and that gives Serbia a 2-1 lead over Australia."

Is Raonic already well know among non-hardcore tennis fans in Canada? A lot of hype about him in the local media?

Some, he's in a few commercials...but for tennis. So he's getting there at least. The Olympics will definitely help (my wife knew about match when I got home from work and she's usually a good gauge of what the casual sports fan know.)

Is there a way to get live scores without depending on the failing ITF site/app?

There's a London 2012 app that has results and scores for all events. I've been checking it when the ITF app fails.

The livescores plug-in here on TAT (top menu) is really great and shows the server, but not the score in the game

That's a good win for Jo, coming off of yesterday's marathon.

And Kirilenko has come back well from that close Wimbledon defeat to Radwanska.

Unusual to watch the scores on a Kvitova match and for it to be so straightforward. Maybe Flav is tennis'd out with all the matches she has already played.

Murray is having the same problems he had against Baghdatis at Wimbledon.

Great day of tennis. I feel like these matchups are even more interesting than this year's R-16 Monday at Wimbledon was.
