Crowds look a little on the sparse side so far.

Wozniak/Dubois first to lose in the Games (to 'Kazakh' Shvedova/Voskoboeva pairing), with a bagel

Kim through. Crowd is smallish, but they do seem a bit less reserved than usual.

Apparently, stands are so empty because the ticketing/seating system is a nightmare, as the usual honorary stewards are not utilized. People are still waiting to get into Centre Court.

If it isn't broke.....

Federer match will give us the best idea of how many are actually there.

Berdych lost his footing several times so far. Darcis exploiting it with drop shots.

Tomas might have some harsh words about the surface. Never seen a player fall over as many times and look so uncomfortable in their movements.

In fairness to the court maintenance people, Darcis was ok for the most part.

I hope Tomas has some harsh words for himself.

Tipsarevic over Nalbandian, Cornet beat Paszek.

Almagro just beat Troicki and should now rip through Berdych-less section

Ferrer/Lopez take out Fyrstenberg/Matkowski. 8-6 in the third.

Biggest battle of the day though is between Olympic Tennis and Olympic Tennis Day 1. Come on Day 1!

Olympic fever is already taking hold....

It supports my theory that doubles specialists are mostly failed singles players

It's definitely not the English gentry. For all the ways Olympics would differ from Wimbledon, I didn't hear anyone mention the crowd.

Were you at Medina Garrigues - Wickmayer? Medina was going to win... but then she didn't. Must be a TATeur effect

I watch I second of it. Was at the court next to them. Then ran to watch Sam go down!

Every cameraman just left Kvitova's match. Shows how good it is right now.

Federer-Falla was on a local TV so I watched a bit. Roger was an error machine for significant stretches of the match, but at the end a difference in class was too large. Hope he improves for the next match... Benneteau is very good on grass and he will not be just hoping for opponent's errors like Falla did.
