I've never understood this: Why is it that they always put matches from the previous day on second instead of first?

Give them a little extra time since their match was suspended at the end of the day.

That would make sense at the US and Australian Opens, but they hardly ever delay matches until the next day, and they never end too late at Wimbledon and the French.

Not being a fan of any of the big three...these mens draws are really starting to get boring for me. Cheering for the upsets that probably aren't coming!

I would absolutely love it if Ferrer managed to win.

As much as I love Nadal, that would be crazy awesome if it happened.

It's like forces are conspiring to give Maria this French Open. What a total nightmare for Li Na.

And Maria has about handed it right back about 600 times. If she's having this much trouble against Zakopalova, she'll struggle against Kanepi.

That being said, since it took Kanepi five times to serve out Wozniacki, maybe Kanepi's bigger challenge will be herself.

Isn't it also that the tourney has already told the players in the first match that they'll play at 11:00 am? So they don't want to change that commitment.

Everyone else is scheduled "to follow", so the thinking is that another set or a few makes less of a difference to their preparation.

Just when it looks like Pova will close this out, Klara manages to outslug her in a few rallies and break, to serve at 2-5.

Maria's forehand has looked stronger and more consistent than her backhand to me today (only been watching since mid-second set).

Sharapova is just incapable of serving it out, isn't she?

How are you, beau?

Stosur is still around. She's been in this final before.

Kvitova, too. Although, I'm not sold on her yet.

Meanwhile, Andy opens the match by losing his serve. This might be more lopsided than I had thought.

Rafa-Pico: wow
