Juan Monaco, who had to be jet lagged, was well on his way to defeating Robin Haase when, getting ready to slide into a return, he severely turned his ankle. The only reason he didn't break it - it was that bad a turn - is that he threw himself forward and looked to have twisted his neck as well.

Haase, not sure if Monaco had hurt his neck grabbed a towel and made a pillow for him and stayed talking to him until the trainer came from Paris. Just kidding but it took the trainer awhile to get there.

Dumb decision to play Houston...
He should have stayed in Monte Carlo and rested this week but he felt that he needed to do some practice work in Florida. Who will represent the USA in the singles draw?
