Hey All -
Did the Indian Wells bug follow the players to Miami? We have already had FOUR retirements in the Men's Qualies this morning!

I guess it wouldn't be surprising if it did.

If it's incubating in the tour, it will go along with the tour.

That's really bizarre.

Though I would have thought the qualifiers would have been the first ones to leave the Palm Springs area. Did they just bring the illness to Dallas? Didn't hear of retirements at that event.

I didn't even expect men's qualies to begin play today. Everything starts one day earlier in the week than it did at IW.

Also, from the OOP it looks like each court in use today has either exclusively ATP or exclusively WTA matches. I don't think I've seen that before at a mixed-gender event. Perhaps they just didn't feel like changing the nets/logos between matches?

What will be interesting is the one quarter of the bottom half of the draw - the #4 Caro/#6 Sam quarter, which possibly (likely?) becomes the #10 Serena/unseeded Kim quarter.
