Two things:

I saw good signs from Ana today. I hope she can build and return to the elite. First time I have hope in her in a long while.

Is it me or has Andy bulked up even more?

Weird start to the day.. Kuku's retirement and Hisense court breaking down!

Should the point be replayed when the ball didn't bounce because of court issue? I think it should be replayed.. returner never had a chance.

I was surprised that they didnt replay the point. I'm also surprised that they didnt get any warm up. Is there a certain amount of delay in play where a warm up is allowed?

Can you post a picture?
And... Tsonga is really writing a new page in French lore. Really something else.
(I know he can come back, but these two sets have been really miserable)

Makarova is playing really well so far, she is hitting really deep and opening up angles.

It looks like he is not handling the heat well at all.

Serena looks terrible out there. Like she doesn't even have a plan. She's serving atrociously, moving oddly, and Makarova is not letting her have any easy points. Gonna be a long day for her.

See the day 8 suicide pool thread. (The Makarovas are not bad, either).

Makarova is playing really well so far, she is hitting really deep and opening up angles.
She's hit a bunch of really impressive down-the-line winners, from both sides.

They're definitely bigger than they used to be. I'm sure of it.

As I remember Serena & lefties is never a good thing. She used to have all sorts of trouble with crazy Patty didn't she?

She is usually returning really aggressive but so far she is not doing that either.

Yeah, I don't know why I mentioned that here, Serena obviously has a way of reading our comments. I will keep my mouth shut next time.
