As I remember Serena & lefties is never a good thing. She used to have all sorts of trouble with crazy Patty didn't she?

Yeah. I picked Serena to lose to Kvitova in the SF basically for that reason. She may not even get close to that point, though.

Well, she needs to come back and read LOL...she threw in a weak service game...well I shouldnt say weak, I just think Makarova played a heck of a game to break back!

I believe Serena will escape this if she can get the set, but this reminds me of the last match Serena lost in Melbourne - that really, really flat performance against Jankovic in 2008. She just never snapped out of it. I want to believe she will but isn't giving me much to work with today.
