Poor Sorana, she scores the biggest upset of the tournament so far and her reward is Court 18?

Moral: don't beat the Aussies best hope?

Watched Sorana play some dubs with Safarova today (talk about a team that can hit the fuzz off the ball). She looked back to a healthy weight and having fun. It was nice to see.

TSN doesn't pick up live coverage until 11:00 ET tonight (boo, hiss), but they'll be showing Raonic's match live online, and on replay on TSN2 at 10:30 ET. (On the bright side, that means no television competition for Revenge tonight.)

Errani:Petrova UFE ratio is around 1:2 right now. I think Petrova committed half of those errors during game 4, which took like 12 minutes (and included Errani confronting the umpire about an "out" call -- no Hawkeye on that court).

After Raonic broke Petzschner in the first game of their match, their were 20 consecutive hold games, before Petzschner broke to take the second set. That was Raonic.s second shaky service game in a row, after holding easily to that point.

EDIT: Raonic promptly breaks to open the third set.

For a second match in a row, Maria has seemed ON FIRE.

Usually I hate scorelines like that. But for some reason, I'm appreciating them these days, even if it wasn't worth watching because it was such a drubbing. Reminds me of the good ol' days when Graf, Seles, and few others were racking up similar scorelines with regularity. Where did those days go?

That one was kind of worth watching. Hampton was game, but overmatched. They played quite a few deuce games and had a lot of rallies, it's just that Sharapova was much better at stringing points together.

A tiebreak to forget for Ferrer. Impressive from Sweeting. He actually out-grinded Ferrer on a few of those points. He's not going to win the match doing that, though, I'd wager

And Ferrer was up 5-2 in the set too.

Henri Leconte & whoever he's with are having a jolly little time in the commentary booth, calling this Tsonga/Mello match. (on ESPN3.com)

For some bizarre reason, during changeovers, Leconte counts down from 5 to 1 and goes "Fire!"

My apologies to Ryan Sweeting. He was really doing very well... until I started watching.

Wasn't it you who also threw Kanepi to the wolves, crushing her under your "she's gonna win the whole damn thing" expectations?
