Nole-Fed and Rafa-Murray again? It's not even surprising anymore.

Pffffft, aedra, you are still SO 2010.

Fed , Rafa and Murray making the Semifinals WOULD be surprising.

Great pairing, but a tough match up for Kohli, Dry.

Scotty, Mmmm8, Manolo and I saw the two of them play at the Open in '09 ( 3rd rounder that year), and while competitive early, Radek won in 4.

Yeah, Steps leads the career H2H 4-1 (5-1 if you count a qualifier). Most of those were reasonably comfortable sets for Radek.

ummm ... the only other time they played twice the same year, they split the matches, and Radek already won one this year?

I'd like to see Harrison/Tomic in Round 2. Harrison would have to defeat Cilic to get there...not impossible.

Did anyone notice on the women's draw, empty qualifier slots are labelled "Qualifier", but on the mens draw, they are labelled "Unknown".?

We posted the draws from the official site, so I am curious if anyone knows if there might be an official reason for this?

My only thought is that maybe they already know they will need a lucky loser spot so one of those will be filled by someone who isn't a qualifier...but I've got no clue actually

I don't know why it is, but it made me LOL. It almost sounds dismissive; he's playing some "unknown."

::

Well, my far-fetched dream of a Mardy-Fed final is officially shot. And both in Nole's half? Where's that asteroid when you need it...

I think you are right Ben, because there are 17 unknowns. I guess it's shorter to type unknown than qualifier/lucky loser

Yes, Kubot withdrew. He will be replaced by a lucky loser.

Of the 14 US players in the draw, 11 are in the bottom half with 5 in Roddick's eighth and 4 in Isner's eighth.

Wow. I'm hardly the tennis expert that many of you here are, but I've never heard of half (Joaun, Gensse, Dasnieres de Veigy, Jaziri, Sorensen, Souza, Lisanrd, Farah)of the qualifiers here. Three are French, but four are from countries that are non-tennis-countries.
