I'm actually surprised she's on a show court at all, all things considered.

The Hantuchova Safina match should be fun especially after their encounter in New Haven.

And as always, Roger gets to play his first match at night, on the first day. So he gets to play his seven matches in 14 days as opposed to whomever of the top 4 gets to play 7 matches in 12, if he plays on Wednesday.
I know he is the GOAT and all that, but the blatant favoritism is such a turn off.

You, obviously, are a non-believer.

On the other hand, I'm hoping for great things from this Olga Savchuk.

My man and I seriously thought about taking Savchuk as our Pool choice. (AND, I miss Mary Pierce, too. )

REALLY??! To me is totally a turn-on! After the rain delays of the French Open in Soderling match, and 2 straight monday finals bacause of tropical storms and hurricanes, I want him to play every night session until quaterfinals, and play the first semi of the super saturday! C'mon the guy is almost 30 years old! Give him a break! lol

The most talented player EVER (for those that say I'm a non believer ), holder of 16 GS, and he needs a BREAK!!!!! Surely you jest, Igor.
It's just that it happens so frequently. I understand it at Wimby, where he is usually defending champion so he gets to open Centre Court. And I understand the rationale for the USO Organizers, who want the Marquee names. But really. How about Rafa starting first? Just once? Even Novak, which would be some kind of humanitarian deed. Pretty pleaseeeeee......

I was surprised to see that Rafa is not really seen as a mega marquee name in the press.. (and I don't even mention Djoko).

In any case, I'm not so sure this is necessarily an advantage: last year it's Del Potro who won!!
with the draw Fed has this year he is already very very lucky, his ONLY test is Djoko in the semis!, so whomever gets to the final can "stole" the victory during the last moments à la Del Potro!
Fed is never safe in finals any more!

It's Rafa who should get a break: his side is a real MINEFIELD!!! poor Rafa

I know you're exaggerating but just for the record, this is not quite right. This is actually the very first time he's playing at night on the first day. Here were his starting days the last few years.

2004: Monday day
2005: Tuesday day
2006: Wednesday day
2007: Monday day
2008: Tuesday night
2009: Monday day
2010: Monday night
