Well it can't possibly be as crazy as the women's QFs.

Rafa on Court 1 for two consecutive rounds?!

Makes sense to have at least one interesting match on 1. http://forum.talkabouttennis.com/ima...ilies/wink.png

They have to do 2 and 2, and I'm not surprised that Murray gets on center over him.

Yes, I think that's the reason. Murray had to be on centre court .

If that means he plays like he did against PHM, I'm all for it.

Are you just looking to jinx the men too Mr. "I don't think anything will go three sets and all the favs will get through easy peasy"? http://forum.talkabouttennis.com/ima...ies/tongue.png

I noticed something while looking at the scoreboard earlier today. The women's quarters had women from seven different countries (two Americans, the Williams sisters). The men's quarters feature contestants from eight differenct countries. The only overlap was the Czech Republic (Kvitova and Berdych). So that makes 14 countries in the final 16.

You just have to love the international nature of tennis.

And Tomas gets the first break to go up 4-3
So far he is standing up to Roger

I don't have a good feeling about this

warrgazur 06-30-2010 12:40 PM

I did not realize that this is the first time since 2007 that all 4 top seeds made it to any slam QF. Is that really true? http://forum.talkabouttennis.com/ima...s/confused.png

Mirka is wearing a black bracelet with "ROGER" on it.

The thought of me wearing a bracelet with my husband's name on it http://www.talkabouttennis.com/forum...ilies/hyst.gif

Yeah, me neither. Federer playing so lackadaisically.

until he breaks Berdych with a great passing shot
now the heat is on Tomas

warrgazur 06-30-2010 12:55 PM

He's going to be fine. It's best of five and not three where winning the first set is much more huge. He's already ahead in the second.

warrgazur 06-30-2010 12:57 PM

Besides, if Thomas wins, it messes up my SP. http://forum.talkabouttennis.com/ima...ies/tongue.png I have not undeserved confidence in Federer to win.

adoreorerie 06-30-2010 12:58 PM

nice hold by Roger, and the pressure is growing on Tomas
If Tomas can't level this set at some point, even if he goes on to lose it, he will go down in 4

Pheboasmabs 06-30-2010 01:02 PM

By the way on another note - anyone notice the Sisters Williams in some trouble in doubles? Vera is having a good tourney all around
