The Men's defending champion was relegated to court 1 today too

They didn't want to expose the queen to Serena's arm-action-heavy curtsy, I guess.

That was pretty funny. My arm doesn't go that fast. I wonder what would happen if a woman bowed instead of curtsy-ing

It's funny actually, because Caroline basically curtsies to the four sides of the court after wins, so she'll be prepared.

is the Queen going to stay all day there?

she might exit when Murray's match is over.

Ti, I must complain. I don't see Mahut-Isner on your schedule.

Okay, let's make a Letterman style 'top 10 reasons they didn't put Serena on centre court.'

10. They saw her practice curtsie.

9. They were afraid she'd "shove those strawberries and cream down her f***ing throat."

See the revised Singles Order of Play above.

A prophet I am. Foresee the future with Force I can.

rfceicizgm 06-23-2010 09:16 PM

They'll be sorry they put them on third when they have to schedule the conclusion to that match again tomorrow.

rfceicizgm 06-23-2010 09:18 PM

What if Mahut and Isner just went out there for the next x number of days and decided, "Let's just keep this going for as long as we can!" At what point does Wimbledon say "Enough!" and pretend there was an "extenuating circumstances tiebreak rule" all along?

GalasaKoll 06-23-2010 09:28 PM

Looks like they wanted a non-grunting woman on Centre. Eh.

rfceicizgm 06-23-2010 09:30 PM

Go Jarkko!

8. Caroline's said she cheers for England in the World Cup (after Denmark)

It's nice that they gave the Isner/Mahut finish a "not before 3:30."

It isn't listed on this thread, but on the "To Be Announced" on the Wimbledon website it says that Isner, Mahut, and Debakker all have doubles matches tomorrow!
