Seems like they've been paying attention to Sharapova's early losses lately. Other than that, I agree with you.

Del Potro 8.00
Djokovic 10.00
Davydenko 17.00
Murray 19.00
Verdasco 26.00
Ferrer 34.00
Soderling 34.00

Yes. Let's all put money down on Del Potro. Do these people know how to read?

I'm considering placing some on Davydenko's broken wrist and Novak's respiratory problems as well.

Updated odds, from the same site:

Henin 2.50

SWilliams 5.50
Jankovic 6.50

Clijsters 10.00
Stosur 13.00
Azarenka 17.00

Ivnanovic 21.00
Wozniacki 21.00
Martinez Sanchez 21.00
Kuznetsova 21.00
VWilliams 21.00
Safina 23.00
Dementieva 23.00

Wickmayer 29.00

Zvonareva 41.00
Sharapova 51.00
Pavlyuchenkova 67.00
Pennetta 81.00
I love that the defending champion, the 2008 champion and the other '08 and '09 finalist aren't even among the Top 6 favorites. This is going to make for one heck of an interesting Suicide Pool.

With a Sunday start, we may have a winner in the women's SP by Thursday of the first week.

We should get one bye ROUND (not day). Really, or there will be 32 players standing by the second round.

One could even try burning the top seeds in the first rounds just to make it through and still it would not be safe.

DAY 1 Pick:
Clay queen Stosur

you heard it here first

Let's see how the favourites are doing in the last big warmup event:

Henin: lost first match to Rezai
Serena: won first match (but in three TB's, 3:26)
Jankovic: first round bye
Clijsters: injured, not playing
Stosur: 2 wins
Azarenka: retired in first set
Ivanovic: bye
Wozniacki: lost second match to Alona Bondarenko
MJMS: lost second match to Stosur
Kuznetsova: lost first match to Peer
Venus: 2 wins
Safina: lost first match to Zakapalova
Dementieva: won first match lost second match to Dulgheru

Oh yeah, this will be fun.

Stosur-Venus final?

I agree it'll be fun...in the way people are fascinated with car accidents!
