Venus, the hottest hand in the game right now. Kim, the comeback queen, out to show the US title was no fluke (and looking to put herself back inside the top 10 with a victory).

Lot of history between these two, though they have only met once (officially) since Kim's return. Current h2h is 6-5 Venus, though Kim has won the last three matches - last being at the '09 USO, the 60 06 64 match. Hardcourt record 3-3 (Venus's last win over Kim on hardcourts was in 2002). Record in finals is 2-2. Kim leads in 3 setters 3-2, Venus in 2 set matches 4-1.

Kim is mean, but Venus will hit too clean.

I gave Kim the edge last night, but this time I think Venus has the edge.

Strange to think that at this late stage in her career, Venus is in a position to win the last three tournaments that she has entered.
