I know this is the wrong thread but whatever... Sharapova vs Oudin was a big match for both women for very different reasons. I think the same holds for Oudin vs Petrova. I'm confident that Petrova will beat Oudin in two straightforward sets. Nadia can definitely be rattled, but I think her good serving will be too hard to handle. Oudin won't be able to break her as many times as Dementieva or Sharapova. I think she actually has a reasonable shot at the finals. I think the best thing for Safina to do is get fit and focused again, and drop a spot or two in the rankings. She's going nuts. I also think she needs a new coach, but I doubt that will happen. |

... I think whoever wins the Kuznetsova/Wozniacki match will be a big favorite for the finals. I wonder if either of them will realize it and feel pressure. |

Well, let's not go that far... |

Federer hasn't looked great to me so far this tournament. Also, it seems like the press has pencilled him into the finals already. I believe he's mentioned that he has a shot at winning all four slams in a row because now all he needs are the two HC ones. Basically, I think he may be overconfident and not playing his best, so an upset is possible. Davydenko and Soderling are two of the few players with the talent to do it. |

Oh, I completely agree that Davydenko and Soderling can take out Federer and that Federer isn't looking like he is in his top form yet. I don't think though that an upset can happen because of overconfidence. Roger has been the overwhelming favorite in slams lots and lots of times; if he was to be upset in a slam due to complacency, he'd have been in 05 or 06. But he can totally be outplayed by a hard-hitting Soderling or Davydenko. ![]() |

If Davydenko was capable of outplaying Federer, you'd think he'd have done it by now. He's 0-12 against Fed. ![]() |

Some of those matches were close, and Kolya usually makes Roger play a messy match. Not saying that an upset is likely to happen (and I'm really hoping it won't |
