Hewitt may have been better off not being seeded.

I was trying to play the "Who will Blake lose to" game, but I can't see any of the names in his section taking him out. Roger will.

Welcome to the big leagues, Devin Britton.

And no question on which is the first-round match to watch.

Gulbis/Murray?

Djokovic/Ljubicic?

Nadal/Gasquet?

I actually think the first and last above will be blow-outs.

I meant Nadal/Gasquet. Not sure it will live up to the potential, but that's not a typical first-round match. Gulbis/Murray will be a bloodbath, unless Murray wagers his Flash Sushi night on the match. Then maybe Ernests will get interested.

Well, at least you know it's coming. 0-13 against Fed since Davis Cup 2003.

If Blake gets to Roger, he's had a good event. I expect he will find a way to lose to someone beforehand. He is past his prime, and it has been showing all year.

Poor Gasquet. First, Dustin Vemic in New Haven qualifying, now Nadal.

If this pattern continues, he'll go on a date with Radek Stepanek.

James will go out in the second round. It just isn't there anymore.

Will the Chilean fans go crazy for EVERY point? Or just not know what to do? My experience is that you can always tell when Gonzo or Massu is on court, even at big tournies. It's a pretty fun atmosphere.

Stefan Koubek is closing in on admission to the main draw thorugh qualies. Looking at the draw, James Blake could potenitally play a Q in the 3rd Round.

I'm thinking Saturday night under the lights on Ashe, my fellow Tailgaters!

In which case, THIS Tailgater will be headed back to Manhattan early. I'm not watching that hotmess in person again.

Or ... we could all sit there and take the quizzes in the official tourney magazine again. Or someone could bring a deck of cards ...

Umm, be careful with Rubén!! I see Kunytsin beating him, for instance.
