I know I've mentioned this before, but Roger and Nole are put in the same half way too many times. Six consecutive slams now.

If Blake gets to Roger, he's had a good event. I expect he will find a way to lose to someone beforehand. He is past his prime, and it has been showing all year.

And in USOpen "finales":

Safin gets Melzer, and most likely Del Potro in the second round
Santoro gets Ferrero.

Richard after his loss to Vemic last week:

""I am very motivated. I hope to quickly return to the Top 20. Take anyone in the first round -- Nadal, Federer, a qualifier, doesn't matter who, I don't care. I was very unhappy to find myself for a long time in front of the television. I know I'm no longer part of the best in the world, but I hope to find myself there again."

Well, Richie, you asked for it.

Are qualifier places decided already, or will they be drawn again?

They'll be drawn, I believe, once the qualie draw is played out.

I wish I dont curse him but...Roger draw looks like a cakewalk! He's favoured to reach the XVI in NY this year!

Randomly, of course.

All that I was saying is that it's the same matchup over and over, not that it means a rigged draw!

Randomly, of course.
Why not? If you toss a coin 15 times, you expect to see a run of 4 heads or 4 tails. So, 6 consecutive doesn't rule out random at all. I actually read somewhere that if you ask people to write down what they think is a sequence of random coin tosses, the longest runs of consecutive heads or tails is nearly always shorter in the sequence they write down than what happens for real.

And besides, I'm not sure how you can say this is a conspiracy in favor of Roger or against Novak. In FO 09, for instance, people wanted Rafa and Nole to be in opposite halves because it seemed that they were the two best clay courters of the season and that Nole would never get over Rafa on clay. In USO 08 and AO 09, fans of Novak wanted him on Roger's side because Roger seemed weak coming in. On the flip side, fans of Roger didn't want to see Roger play Novak in Wimby 08 or USO 08 because of AO 08. Sure, retrospectively, it might seem that Roger has benefited but how would the conspirators, for instance, have predicted that in FO 09, PEHK would take out Novak, the second-best clay courter of the season, and clear the way for Roger?

Anyways, I guess I should stop arguing...
