Is there a "next big thing" in US men's tennis right now? (Young obviously was not it, and I've personally discounted him)
I think Querry and Isner are right about where they'll stay and fluctuate...? Respectable, but not top-tier. Or is one of them still supposed to climb much more? Sorry for being U.S.-centric... but I'm obviously curious. |

From http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...13/?FORM=ZZNR4:
For next week in Cincinnati, where Nadal is expected to play doubles with Novak Djokovic, some of the white sleeved shirts, which he was supposed to wear at Wimbledon, will be shipped in. Really? Nice! |

well L'Equipe did not say anything specific only that he doesn't want to talk as he is only focusing on his training.
:Richard ne souhaite pas parler dans l'immédiat. Il se concentre sur l'entraînement» s'est contenté de déclarer son agent. http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/breves2...t-forfait.html |

I've thought for a while that Sam Querrey could have a career similar to Todd Martin's. There's obvious talent there but the results haven't been consistent, similar to Martin's early career. But Todd worked his butt off and improved a ton of aspects of his game in a relatively short amount of time. Querrey, though, has to be willing to put in a similarly large, intense amount of work. Otherwise, he's...David Wheaton. In some respects, Sam is the U.S. answer to Tsonga. Lots of talent, but the heart of a pea when things aren't going their way and the road gets tough when it matters most. |

I don't think that's fair. Tsonga is a head and shoulders above Sam in terms of talent, but he is injured much more often as well... |

I'd agree with that. I just think they're similar in their supreme lack of guts. Tsonga is far more talented than Sam. But the lack of guts is still a huge cause for concern as it relates to his future. |

So funny you say this. Tsonga just blew a bunch of match points against Roger and still never actually proves his "intestinal fortitude" as Roger DF's the match away. |
