I hope Dinara puts up a good match, but I foresee pretty straightforward straight set matches for the sisters.

I know I'll feel stupid when someone says it was something like Aussie 09, but when was the last Slam semi that had the top 4 women playing?

Yeah, from Wikipedia:

1. Amélie Mauresmo (Champion)
2. Kim Clijsters (Semi-Finals)
3. Justine Henin-Hardenne (Final)
4. Maria Sharapova (Semi-Finals)

Thanks for that fond memory. Another loss to Justine in a Slam for Kim.
Care to stir up any other old wounds for me, Munchin?

Oooh! Oooh! Remember when Justine stayed up all night doing this: Henin-Capriati Final Set Tiebreaker and then still beat Kimmie the next day in straight sets?

At least you didn't find the AO '04. That's the one that still makes me boil everytime I see a certain point.

NBC doesn't pick up coverage until NOON. Four hours after play begins.

Wonder what they have up their sleeve for tomorrow.

At least ESPN2 is on the case until then.

I must just say one more time, I have NO idea why NBC has bothered showing matches this week. They've been taped for those of you on the East Coast, and they have, once again, SHAT all over other time zones: ESPN can't broadcast more until NBC says so. So NBC leisurely shows the final hour of Today, with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford (which I believe causes viewers to lose brain cells at an alarming rate). On Thursday and Friday, we are also treated to needless re-broadcasts of syndicated crap (like Deal or No Deal), before they deign to begin coverage.

You think you guys have it bad? In Canada, we've frequently been in the middle of matches, only to have the feed switch to NBC on their delay, and usually for different matches! We're delayed and we get our matches interrupted. When we're lucky we still get to see the end.

Of course, then ESPN spoils the JCF-Murray match for me today anyways! Oh well, Roddick-Hewitt took long enough for me anyways! At least we "shouldn't" have that problem tomorrow.

Don't complain guys. I don't even get NBC Directv doesn't give us the local channels so we have to use "rabbit ears" to pick up channel 10 NBC....we couldn't find a converter box ANYWHERE and so....since Wavy 10 switched to analog while I was up in CT for the wedding, we now cannot get channel ten at all I'm stuck watching the computer once ESPN goes off

NBC really needs to give up on tennis and let ESPN and Tennis Channel (who LOVE to give us LIVE tennis) handle the slams. I wonder what it is going to be like this year without the US Open hardcourt season being on USA They were SO good to us tennislovers with all of that live tennis!

At least some of you will be able to get taped delayed NBC. Not me.

Scum sucking pigs!

Elena and Serena coming out onto the court! And you guys know I love Serena...but Elena is soooooo sooooooo sooooooo lovely and graceful and a pleasure to watch (except when that serve goes south....THAT is painful!)...I think we have some GOOD tennis coming up!

And it's a BEAUTIFUL day!
