It was relegated to obscurity because no one could spell it.

s'Hergotenhogenbogenlogenhootensteinerdosch should be looking over its shoulder.

First, I don't know why Kitzbuhel is that much easier to spell.

Second, s'Hertogenbosch has regrettably been changed to Den Bosch.

Third, one of the reasons I like tennis (though not an especially important one) is because I like all of the lovely sounding names of players and places. Poertschach was one of my favorites in the name department, and I'm sad to see it go.

So Niemien is out, and Davydenko withdrew from Madrid...guessing he'll withdraw from here too? With 8 seeds (assumign 8) Santoro and Granollers would get seeds.

It was Davydenko's tournament. Now it's just pathetic.

Actually, by golly, the Montanes withdrawal is a good thing for me. Since just about everyone else at the top in TSiP had him. The Ljubicic and Serra withdrawals will help, too.

And Kolya is still there for some reason...

Maybe they need a headliner to get a few more people to want to come to this free admission event? Go figure.

They can't afford they appearance fee$.

Maybe they'll make it a challenger?

Heck, I'm fine if they just cancel the whole tournament and call TSIP good. It's not like they've sold any tickets anyway.

Kitzbuhel petitioned the ATP to host the Open in Kitzbuhel and the ATP accepted. So it was moved from Poertschach to Kitzbuhel.

And interestingly enough....they are offering free admissions and...choice of seats except for the quarters-finals and even then....you pay admissions and get your choice of seats. Nifty way to fill up the court!
