Default Will Nadal win a Career Slam?
As we all know, he only needs the US Open to complete the career slam. I think he only has a 2-year window to do it, and I give him about a 50% chance.

I wish I could say the same thing wrt Federer and Roland Garros, but I can't.

I'm not even convinced the guy won't win a Calendar Slam this year.

Whoa, that would be something, but repeating Wimbledon will be hard enough for the guy, I think.

Yeah, it always surprised me that he's so much less vulnerable there than at the US Open. Maybe he's just tired by then. But I can't believe he's been in 3 straight Wimbledon finals. You always get the feeling someone's gonna serve him off the court and it never happens.

lol. Rafa could do it. I would never have thought so a few years back, but he really could.

If he does win a career slam (or calendar slam), then there will need to be serious consideration of putting his career over Fed's even if Fed does manage to get to 15. I think Nadal could easily get to 10-12 himself.

I agree. I'm of a (I think) minority who is more impressed by Andre Agassi accomplishments than Pete Sampras'.

For me, it's pretty much even between them...maybe a very slight edge to Pete.

I think he'll definitely win the US Open, but it pretty much has to be within 3 years, like others have said. I think Murray will be too good by then, and Rafa might be worn down too.

He could take #2. Not a lot of points to defend in the next couple of months, so he'll close the gap quite a bit, I think.

I'm thinking the US open is gonna be to Rafa what the French is to Federer.

Of course Nadal "could" win the Career Slam. The only problem is that the U.S. Open is in September and in my brief survey through the last few years, I believe he's only once won a tournament after August and August itself has been thin (notwithstanding the Olympics). He has the ability to win the U.S. but his playing style is exhausting.

On Calendar Slam, it's not impossible but to knock down Fed/Murray/Djoky twice at majors will require some luck. I concede that barring injury, it's hard to see a loss at RG.
